She specialized in speculative fiction, studying science fiction, fantasy, and horror, particularly in-depth. Born and based in Manchester, England, Sarah-Jane originally studied film, television, and other media at university. Sarah-Jane Simpson is a writer for Screen Rant, creating articles for their Games section. However, this was utterly undone in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, where Force users were again reduced to "Jedi good, Sith bad." This was similar to KOTOR 2, which took the time to explore the idea of whom the Jedi essentially were and why - or if - they were relevant. Star Wars: The Last Jedi divided fan opinion with its take on the future of the Jedi, with Luke expressing that it was time for the Jedi Order to end once more. KOTOR 2 delved into some profound philosophical ideas about why Jedi mattered and how they inspired people, which isn't explored thoroughly in canon material now. Related: Taris' Fate Is Still KOTOR's Cruelest Trick KOTOR 2 truly dug into why the Jedi mattered and how they were more than just "the good guys" but were undoubtedly the heart of the Republic, without which the Republic would fall. It forced the player to ask deep questions about what it means to be a hero. KOTOR 2 used characters like Kreia to pull apart the concepts of the light and dark sides of the Force and showed players a different way of viewing both Jedi and Sith. KOTOR 2 was a game that thoroughly deconstructed many core Star Wars ideas in a way that hasn't been matched since. Finally, like all good RPGs, KOTOR 2 featured multiple endings based on those choices to really make players feel immersed in the world. Choices made by the player throughout determined story points, the character's appearance, and even change entire planets. This is a vast oversimplification of an incredibly intricate storyline that delves into what it really means to be good or evil and the Exile's role within the universe. Set almost 4,000 years before the main Star Wars saga, KOTOR 2 tells the story of the Exile, a former Jedi Knight, as they gather allies and strength to fight two of the most powerful Sith Lords in Star Wars. Unfortunately, more recent additions to the Star Wars universe have ruined the legacy that KOTOR 2, and its predecessor, Knights of the Old Republic, built. With its complex characters, plot, and ideas about the Force, KOTOR 2 remains a firm fan favorite. Click on the support link and our team will walk you through the process.Despite being released 18 years ago, Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords remains one of the best examples of storytelling in the Star Wars franchise. Important Note: For users that prefer the original version of the game or for users on old hardware that can no longer run KOTOR II in its updated form, we have created a “legacy branch” that will allow users to access the original released content.

Tracking helps boost power, agility, ball control, and speed skills.Tracks specific soccer metrics, like possessions, ball touches, strong/weak foot, etc., which other trackers like FitBit do not.Designed with discrete comfort in mind (I don’t have to wear it on my back, chest, or wrist). Suitable for all ages (kids and adults).Suitable for both amateur and elite players.Designed with durability in mind (can withstand the roughest playing conditions). That’s why I’ve made sure to pay attention to the areas where Playermaker really steps it up compared to other wearable trackers. I know all too well how products get hyped up but are just as, if not less, functional than market competitor products. Next, I want to discuss why Playermaker is notably better than other tracker options for soccer players. Playermaker around a soccer player’s cleat The Advantages of Using a Playermaker It’s one of the only wearable soccer trackers that combines both comfort and soccer-specific stats. Many Playermaker wearers even note that they forget they’re even wearing this tracker while it’s in use, and I agree with their assessment. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised when it only weighs 6 grams! The Playermaker practically goes unnoticed when I’m playing and doesn’t distract me from what’s most important – my performance. (And I’ll look at how the GPS trackers compare to these in more detail in a moment) This is markedly different from the vest soccer GPS trackers that I have reviewed in the past. Rather than having to place it on my back or wear it on uncomfortable areas of my body, I can attach it to my cleats. One of the cool things about this tracker is that it’s designed with comfort in mind. Something that I care a lot about when it comes to my gear is how it feels.Ĭomfort and ergonomics are just as important as functionality when it comes to wearable sports technology. If something is uncomfortable and is negatively impacting your game when you wear it, then it is not worth your time or money. Using some really clever technology, Playermaker measures foot-to-ball interaction with a smart sensor attached to each foot. The company behind this product talk about how the Playermaker uses its ability to track physical and technical soccer metrics to seamlessly turn your cleats into “smart cleats”. Let’s get started!! Playermaker Wearable Tracker Overview The advantages of this particular tracker over others,.In this review, I’ll do a deep dive into the specifics and capabilities of this latest soccer tech. After a session, you can connect your Playermaker smart sensors to an app that displays metrics enabling you to comprehensively review your performance. It straps around your foot and tracks soccer-specific metrics throughout a training session or game. The Playermaker is a wearable tracker for soccer players. If you haven’t heard of this product or don’t know too much about it, then let me quickly explain what we are talking about. This gave me access to the pins I needed for the RTC and the two switches. There was a lot of software in this project so when the time came to go from prototype to final assembly I decided to go to the other extreme and keep it as simple and minimalistic. I connected SET/ADJ push-buttons to 10 & A5 and used 11 & 12 as SDA/SCL for a software I2C to the DS3231 real time clock module. Fortunately that leaves pins 10,11,12,13 and A5 free. This shield has a built-in SD-card reader, but no touch screen. The viewing angle is fairly important, from the wrong angle the display is quite washed out. The only other interaction is a) setting a “window” on the screen and b) filling it with colour data. As always, the trick is finding some code which successfully initialises the display (including orientation). The clocks use a simple automatic DLS adjustment class which takes a table of start/end dates. As well as setting the date and time it configures the red/yellow bin cycle (or none) Pressing Set from time display goes to the configuration screen. Pressing Adj from time display cycles through the faces (including a pseudo-face which randomly cycles through faces). The sketch uses all but around 100 bytes of the Uno’s program storage space. There was a little program memory left, so I squeezed in a very simple Pong Clock, again using code from an earlier project. The look is based on this font Triangle ClockĪn adaptation of an eariler project with a triangulated irregular network (TIN) style face, more pretty colours. The LCD colours are appealing, so I experiment with coloured cubes. The LCD inspired me to add in some additional clock “faces”: The angles come from skipping every 4th row of the digit data, so it’s acos(3/4)=41°, close enough to 45°! The time digits change with a detailed 3-step animation (top flap at 41°, 90° and 131°). It’s alternate weeks and I keep forgetting (this display is optional). As a bonus, across the middle there’s a blinking/flipping colon and also a coloured digit indicating the number of days until I need to put out either the rubbish bin (red) or the recycling (yellow). The time is in big digits across the bottom. The main clock display is the day, date and month in smallish flip-style digits across the top of the LCD (landscape mode).
